Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking to recruit an experienced assistant store manager to join our team in Korumburra.

  • Permanent – Full time position with rotational weekend work (Every 2nd Saturday, one late night and some public holidays)
  • Attractive base salary $65,000 – $75,000 + 11.5% superannuation

About the role:

Our store in Korumburra has been an integral part of the community since 1995. It will be your responsibility to assist in implementing business processes that ensure the team delivers optimum customer relationships and sustainable financial returns.

Reporting to the store manager, owner, general manager and operations manager you’ll have full accountability for the day to day running of the entire store. You’ll take pride in ensuring that the store is well stocked and exceptionally presented, as well as welcoming and engaging for our customers.

About you and your skills:

  • Willing to provide a current police check
  • Extensive background as an assistant manager within the supermarket or retail industry (with a strong focus on fresh foods desirable)
  • Previous experience in working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to achieve budgeted Sales, Gross profit and wage targets.
  • Problem solving and idea generation for the company.
  • Meeting all legislative requirements in regard to compliance/audit standards.
  • Ensuring company loss prevention standards & policies at upheld at all times.
  • Effectively Managing/leading a Team which includes Departmental Managers.
  • Delivering the highest of customer service standards across the entire store.
  • Communicating with, support office, suppliers, customers and the team to get results.
  • Driving sales & encouraging your team to deliver profitable results.
  • The ability to look ahead and energise your team
  • Involvement in local community and being the “face” of the company at a local level.
  • Recruiting, training, developing and managing performance.
  • Recognising and celebrating successes at store level.

MEAT MANAGER

We are looking for a meat manager to join our team at our Leongatha store!

  • Full time
  • $65,000 – $70,000 per year plus super

The successful applicant will have a proven track record of:

  • Delivering excellent quality and service standards throughout the department
  • Managing a meat department within a supermarket or shop
  • Experience in a high volume sales environment
  • Achieving sales budgets, gross profits and wage control targets.
  • Controlling shrinkage and completing monthly stocktakes
  • Rostering that reflects the customer’s needs and at the same time meeting department budgets.
  • Maintaining department invoicing and clerical procedures.
  • Ordering of stock is relevant to department sales.
  • Maintaining correct pricing and ticketing.
  • Working well in a fast paced team environment
  • Coaching and supporting the development of fellow team members
  • Portray a positive attitude and show initiative
  • Ensuring all cleaning schedules are maintained.
  • Maintain the department to HACCP standards
  • Abide by company policies and procedures at all times
